Mango Citrus Smoothie Bowl (and Nature's Path Giveaway!)

If you know me personally, you'll know that I tend to shy away from jumping on bandwagons. Yes it's true, I have been known to participate in trends from time to time, like when I got my hair cut in that ridiculously popular Jennifer Aniston bob in the 90s, or the time I bought my first pair of Lululemon yoga pants (and then my second, and my third...please don't judge me!), but when it comes to things that actually matter (like food...obviously) I try really hard to think for myself before going with the crowd.

Needless to say, when smoothie bowls burst onto the scene my first reaction was skepticism, but it wasn't long before I came around. I mean, who wouldn't love a deliciously sweet and thick blended fruit smoothie with some fresh fruit tossed in and topped with some yummy Nature's Path granola?


So when Nature's Path sent me an amazing box full of their organic granola and other goodies, I knew I had to share this smoothie bowl recipe with you! Their granola products are some of the best I've ever tasted and their Coconut Chia Granola pairs perfectly with this fresh-tasting, tropical-flavoured smoothie bowl! Mango Citrus Smoothie Bowl Recipe (serves 2)

You'll need:

1 1/2 cups frozen mango chunks
1 banana
2/3 cup coconut milk (I use reduced-fat)
1 orange, peeled and sectioned (remove the pith)
1/2 grapefruit, peeled and sectioned

1 cup Nature's Path Coconut Chia Granola
orange and grapefruit slices
1-2 tbsp unsweetened flaked coconut (optional)

To make:

Add the mango chunks, the banana, the orange and grapefruit sections and the coconut milk to your blender.

Blend on high speed until smooth.

Pour into 2 bowls and top each serving with 1/2 cup of Nature's Path Coconut Chia Granola, some sliced fruit and a tablespoon or so of flaked coconut.

Serve immediately and enjoy!
